A safe harbor for your healing journey

Welcome to Compass Pathways Counseling. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in San Diego, dedicated to providing warm, evidence-based therapy for individuals, couples, and families navigating life's most challenging chapters.

My approach is collaborative and client-centered — I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to offer a grounded, compassionate presence as you find your way forward. Drawing from attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness-based practices, we'll work together at a pace that feels right for you.

Here to help you feel prepared

What can I expect in a first session?
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what's brought you to therapy, your background, and what you're hoping to work toward. There's no pressure — it's also a chance for you to see if this feels like a good fit.
How long does therapy typically last?
It varies by person and goal. Some clients find meaningful change in 8–12 sessions; others find ongoing monthly or bi-monthly sessions valuable for long-term support. We'll revisit your goals regularly and adjust the plan together.
Do you offer telehealth or only in-person?
Both! I offer secure video sessions for clients anywhere in California, as well as in-person sessions in the San Diego area. Many clients appreciate the flexibility of telehealth, especially for afternoon or evening slots.
Is everything I share confidential?
Yes — confidentiality is foundational to therapy. What you share stays between us, with limited exceptions required by law (such as imminent safety risks or mandated reporting). I'll walk you through your rights and my policies in full at your first session.
What if I'm not sure therapy is right for me?
That's completely valid — and a free consultation is a great place to start. No commitment required. We can talk through your situation and I can share how therapy might (or might not) be helpful. You deserve to make an informed choice.
